(Music video beneath the lyrics)
If death be only my release,
To death I shall resign,
It's not for want or lack of pleas,
That brings this death of mine.
But that I've failed to hit my mark,
My aim was not so true,
And when I die, no angels hark,
Nay, they hark for you.
Nay, they hark for you.
They hark for you.
They hark for you.
No casket, no viewing,
No funeral, no friends.
No pictures, no words,
Just my lonely end.
Just my lonely end.
Just my selfish end.
No lovers, no family,
No preachers, no past,
No schoolmates, no worries,
Just hope, I die so fast.
If you wish to see my corpse,
You first must learn to swim,
And how to dive, and breathe, of course,
In the deep, Pacific rim.
The bridge of Coronado's stilts,
Are appropriately tall,
To force my polar ends to split,
Upon that, upon that lovely fall.
And now I feel this pretty place,
I seem to be surrounded,
I cannot look or turn my face,
In this new home,
In this new home I have found.
In this new home,
In this new home I have found.
The water changes colors here,
First blue, then green, then red,
The raining of my dropping tears,
Dropping, dropping, dropping, dead.

that song was pretty...epic, and your voice is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI think it's actually a good homage to all the people who have jumped, but an unfortunate misconception of "hope".
I hope (hah.) you find hope in life.
I have found "hope" (hah?) in the existence of my daughter.
DeleteNot everyone treats human existence as a trivial, fucking, joke.
